#076 The Tranquilizer 2 : The Last Blood (Part 6)

“We all go back to the hospital, now!” ordered Julia’s dad.

At the other side, the big truck was nearing.

“Spread the spike strip!” ordered the leader.

The big truck did not slow down at all! It drove passed the spike strip and the tires were broken. It lost its balance but it still could ram away the police cars and the barricades to make way for other cars behind it. Soon a number of black cars drove pass the barricade.

“The cars passed through, we couldn’t hold them down,” reported the leader of the group.

“Drive faster, we need to get to the hospital as soon as possible,” Julia’s dad ordered his troops.

The enemies arrived first at the hospital. Murdoc King alighted with Pedro behind him. Pedro chose four of his best men to accompany them into the hospital and the rest of the enemy troops were told to hold the police from entering the hospital.

“So this is where my son’s killer is hiding,” said Murdoc King looking at the hospital.

The four bodyguards killed the policemen and the guards in front of the hospital. Then Murdoc King, Pedro, and four bodyguards walked into the hospital to kill Diego!

#075 The Rich Old Lady

There was once a very rich old lady whose husband had died and whose children had married and gone to live abroad. She was too old to live alone so she moved to an expensive hotel near the sea.

This lady had a pair of nasty, ugly dogs which liked to bark at everybody. She loved them very much although nobody did. They lived in the hotel with her and went wherever she did.

One day there was a new waiter come to work in that hotel. He helped the old lady to carry her blankets and her pillows. He helped her to get in or get out from the car. And even he pretended that he loved the lady’s dogs very much. He offered to look after them in his free time. He fed them, cleaned them and took them for a walk.

The young waiter was sure that when the rich old lady died she would leave him a lot of money to pay him everything that he had done for her. However when she died a few years later he discovered that the lady left him only two things, the things which she loved most in the world and which she thought that the young waiter loved too-her dogs.

#073 The Tranquilizer 2 : The Last Blood (Part 5)

Wounded badly, Diego drove to the only Hospital where his girlfriend worked at. In front of the hospital he met Julia.

“What happened to you?” asked Julia shocked.

Diego promised that he would explain everything to Julia. He was brought inside to be treated. He asked Julia to keep his tranquilizing tools for him. After being treated, he then explained to Julia everything about his past. At first it was hard for Julia to accept the fact that Diego had been lying to her. But it was for his safety too. Moreover, Julia loved him so much. So she decided to help Diego by calling her dad, who was the cop’s chief in the area.

“I will help him this once but I will have him explain everything to me once this is over!” said Julia’s dad.

Julia promised her dad that Diego will explain everything to him.

“However I can only mobilize a few groups of cops unless it is in a critical situation and I don’t want to make the public in chaos as we are unsure that they will attack,” Julia’s dad added.

After the phone call, Julia went to get her bag. Inside the bag she took out a pistol.

“Keep this with you. Maybe you might need it this time,” advised Julia.

Diego accepted and took the gun with him. Then he took out something from the bag of tranquilizing tools that he asked Julia to keep. It was a tranquilizing needle in a ring.

“After this is all over I will change this ring into our wedding ring,” said Diego as he put the ring into Julia’s finger and explained how to make use of it.

Julia blushed and turned around. “Promise me that you will make it through this one!”

Diego smiled as she saw Julia walked out the room.

Julia’s dad split his group into two to make barricades on the two roads, which were the only roads to the hospital, to check every passengers. Suddenly a loud noise of a car’s engine was heard.  It was a big truck which was running very fast.

“There is a big truck running fast towards us. I think it is going to destroy the barricade and pass through!” reported the leader of the other group to Julia’s dad.

#072 Story Of Abunawas : The King Who Became A Farmer

For weeks Abunawasnawas did not have money. He needed money to buy food. So, he went to another village to find work. Here and there he went, knocking at every door. But still nobody wanted to hire him. He was very tired and rested under a shady tree. He was soon asleep.

Suddenly two strong hands grabbed his arms and a strong voice said, "Hey get up you lazy man!"

The two strong hands pulled Abunawas to wake him up. "You must help us in our farm,” said another voice.

Before Abunawas could say a word the two strong men had already dragged Abunawas off to their farm. They walked for some time before arrived in a large farm. They brought Abunawasnawas to a big strong man with an earring at one of his ear.

"You'll work here until noon tomorrow. We'll give you a little food and drink. If you work slowly or lazily we'll give you a whip on your back."

Abunawas worked hard and felt very tired. He suddenly got a good idea. He approached the strong man with an earring. "Sir," said Abunawas.

"What?"

"You see that I am a small man. I can't work fast. If I give you a very strong man who can work three times harder and faster than me, will you let me go?"

The strong man seemed to be the owner of the farm was interested in Abunawas's offer. He agreed to let Abunawas go home.

"Remember, if you cheat me, you'll have to work here the whole day without any food or drink."

"No, I won't cheat you," said Abunawas. "Tomorrow, at noon, you'll find a man right under the tree where you picked me up this morning.  He'll be yours."

Abunawas then went home and appeared before the king right away.

'What brings you here, Abunawas"

"Your Majesty, yesterday I went to our neighbouring village and enjoyed very beautiful music. If you are in interested, I can take you there and you can enjoy it yourself. But, there is one condition."

"What is it, Abunawas?" asked the king who was so interested in music.

“You have to dress like farmers."

"No, problem," said the king.

The following day, at about noon, Abunawas and the king came to the shady tree.

"I don't hear anything, Abunawas,"

"Just be patient, Your Majesty. It was at noon when I heard the music. So, let's wait for a couple of minutes."

The breeze blew gently on their face. The king became sleepy and finally fell asleep. At that moment Abunawas walked away quietly.

Before long there came two farmers approaching the sleeping king. They dragged the king to their master. Of course they did not know that they were dragging their king, King Aaron El Roshid, for he wore farmer clothes. The master said the same thing he said to Abunawas the day before.

The king worked hard and fast because he did not want to get a whip on his back. He was very angry to both Abunawas and those savage people. But he could not do anything at that time.

The following day they let the king off exactly at noon. The king went back to the palace right away and ordered the guard to bring Abunawas before him. When Abunawas was in front of the king, the king said angrily, "How dare you do that to me! I'll punish you!"

“Wait a second, Your Majesty!" said Abunawas calmly.

"Please forgive me, but if I had not let you know by yourself everything that happened there, you would not believe me. Now that you have seen and experienced everything yourself, at least you now know that not all your people are good people. Some are savage and cruel like those farmers in the neighbouring village."

The king nodded slowly and then smiled.

"You're right, Abunawas!"
