#036 The Holes Story

There were two good friends, Yamada and Shimada, who liked to tell stories to each other.
Yamada asked Shimada, “What’s the thing that becomes larger the more you take away from it?”

“I don’t know,” Shimada answered.

“It’s a hole,” Yamada told him with a smile.

“All right,” Shimada said, “Let me tell you a story about hole.”

=A painter kept two cats. One was large and the other was small. One day, his friend noticed there were two holes in the door of the painter’s house. One was large and the other was small.

“What are those two holes for?” he asked the painter.

“I keep two cats.” The painter replied. “One’s large and the other’s small. The large hole is for large cat and the small hole is for the small cat.”

“How silly!” his friend exclaimed. “Why can’t the small cat use the same hole as the large cat?”

“You’re right,” said the painter. “I hadn’t thought of that.”=

Yamada then laugh to hear how silly the painter was.

#035 The Restaurant's Problem

Many years ago, there was a restaurant in the city. The restaurant owner, Ben, was a good man. He was always kind and helpful to his customer. His restaurant was very bright and clean. However his business was still not very successful.

“Why do so few people come to eat at my restaurant?” he asked one of his friends whose father in law also opened a restaurant not far away.

“Your food is not very well cooked,” his friend replied.

But Ben believed that he had put a lot of effort in making the food. Still curious, he went to take advice from a wise old man who was his neighbour.

“Do you keep a dog?” the old man asked him.

“Yes,” replied Ben, “Why do you ask?”

The old man smiled but did not say anything more. Ben again asked him what the old man meant.

“Your dog is very fierce and likes to bite people. That’s why your business is not very good. In food industry you don’t keep your pet in your restaurant. Your business will not improve unless you give away your dog.”

Ben thought over very carefully what the old man had told him. The next day, he gave away the dog. From that time on, his business began to improve.

When we are doing our very best and we don’t get the result we expected, we can ask for friend’s opinion. However, if it doesn’t help, don’t give up; there are many others who can give you opinion or even a constructive advice.

#034 The Tranquilizer : Blood Sick (Part 2)

Sean went to town to create tranquilizing weapons and poisons. They were tranquilizing needles, tranquilizing guns, and many others. The town he went was where Boris’ mansion was built from the gold that he had got from betraying Sean. After his preparation, he went to Boris’ mansion in tuxedo. At the gate he was stopped by eight guards.

“Hey Jack, I think you are enough to beat this guy,” said one of the guard.

Jack went to fight one-to-one with Sean and he was beaten in a few seconds. The other seven guards were shocked so they decided to attack Sean together. Sean then activated the tranquilizing needle from his knuckle ring. Each time he blocked or hit the guards, the needle stuck into the guard’s skin and they were tranquilized in an instant. Having beaten the eight guards, Sean rushed to the mansion.

In front of the main room, Sean kicked the door. He saw Boris was busy being massaged by a sexy woman. Shocked Boris tried to reach his weapon and the woman ran to the bathroom. Before Boris could reach his gun, his hand was shot with soft tranquilizing needle from Sean’s gun. Boris’ hand was numb that he could not hold his gun. Meanwhile, in the bathroom the woman called police. Sean snatched the gun away from Boris.

“I know you are sick of blood. Please let me go, don’t kill me, I can share this fortune, I am sorry for what I did,” Boris begged for his life.

“Yes I am sick of blood, but you won’t even shed a drop of blood,” said Sean.

Sean then inserted poison needle in his gun and shot Boris at his forehead. Soon the poison spread and Boris was dead. Sean had finally had his revenge, so he walked out from the mansion. When he opened the door, police was already outside with their guns pointed at Sean.

“Surrender now or we will shoot!” shouted one of the police.

Sean surrendered without any fight. He has finished the task of his life.

#033 A Gift From The Wounded Bird

Long, long time ago there lived two brothers. They had completely different characters. The big brother was very stingy and greedy. He never shared his wealth with poor people, even with his little brother. The little brother was exactly the opposite. He was generous and kind to poor people. Even he had not much money, had would share it with the poor.

One day the generous brother was sitting in his garden when suddenly a little bird fell on his lap. It was wounded. He took care of it, fed it, and put it in a nice cage. After the bird was healthy, the generous brother let it fly. After some time the bird returned to him and gave him a watermelon seed.

The generous brother then planted the seed and watered it until it grew into a good watermelon plant. Yet, the plant was very strange. It had only one fruit; a big and heavy one. When the watermelon was ripe enough, the generous brother picked it and cut it into two. How surprised he was. The watermelon was full of gold.

The generous brother sold the gold and got very rich. He built a house for his elder brother and bought a very large field. Still, he never forgot to share his wealth with the poor. After being treated kindly by his younger brother, the elder brother changed his personalities and became a better person.

#032 A Lady And A Mouse Story

One day a lady saw a mouse run across her kitchen floor. She was very afraid of mice, so she ran out of the house, got on a bus and went to a store. There she bought a mouse-trap.

The shopkeeper said to her, “Put some cheese in it, and you will soon catch the mouse.”

The lady went home with her mouse-trap, but when she looked in her cupboard, she could not find any cheese. She did not want to go back to the store because it was very late, so she cut out a picture of some cheese out from a magazine and put it in the trap.

For illustration only, not ad

Surprisingly, the picture was quite successful. When the lady came down to check the trap the next morning, she found a picture of a mouse next to the picture of the cheese.
